• Recommended connection by German Railways; regular ICE connection from Frankfurt airport long-distance railway station to Erfurt main railway station (2 ½ h) without change.

Leipzig Airport (LEJ)

• Distance approx. 160 km
• Driving time by car 1 ½ h
• Approx. 2 h by rail to Erfurt, from there by rental car, taxi or regional rail

By rail

From Frankfurt:

• IC/ICE train every hour from Frankfurt airport long-distance railway station to Erfurt main railway station (travel time 2 ½ h)
• From there we recommend a rental car or taxi to Stadtilm (26 km, 25 min)

From Munich:

• Take the S-Bahn (local railway) to Munich main station (10 min)
• From Munich main station to Saalfeld by ICE train (4 h)
• Continue from Saalfeld by regional train, rental car or taxi to Stadtilm (32 km, 30 min)

From Leipzig:

• From Leipzig/Halle airport to Leipzig main station
• from there by high-speed train to Erfurt main station
• Continue by rental car or taxi (25 min)

From Erfurt:

• You can reach Stadtilm in 35 min using the Erfurter Bahn company.
• From the railway station there are still approx. 3 km to go.

By car

From Frankfurt (arriving from the west via the A4)

• Drive from Frankfurt airport onto the A5 in the direction of Kassel
• Keep right at the Kirchheim motorway junction and drive onto the A4/E40 in direction Berlin/Dresden/Erfurt
• At the Erfurt motorway junction, change onto the A71 in the direction of Schweinfurt
• Take the Exit No. 14 Arnstadt-Süd and turn left in the direction of Rudolstadt/Stadtilm
• Follow the highway L1048 to Stadtilm
• Turn left at the main crossing in Stadtilm onto the B87 in the direction of Bad Berka/Weimar. You will see the factory on the right side after 500 m.
• Follow the GEWES signs and turn right towards the factory before the town exit.

From Munich (arriving from the south via the A9/A71)

• Keep right at the Neufahrn motorway junction and drive onto the A9 in the direction of Nuremberg
• The A73 and A71 lead to the  Ilmenau-Ost exit
• Take the 3rd exit in the circle leading onto the B87 in the direction of Stadtilm
• Take the 3rd exit in the circle   leading onto the B87 in the direction of Stadtilm
• Follow the GEWES signs and turn right towards the factory before the town exit.

From Leipzig airport (arriving from the north via the A9/A49)

• Drive along the A14 in a westerly direction (Schkeuditz junction)
• At the Schkeuditz junction, turn onto the A9 in the direction of Munich/Erfurt
• At the Hermsdorf junction, turn right onto the A4 in the direction of Frankfurt/Erfurt
• At the Erfurt motorway junction, change onto the A71 in the direction of Schweinfurt
• Take the Exit No. 14 Arnstadt-Süd and turn left in the direction of Rudolstadt/Stadtilm
• Follow the L1048 to Stadtilm

From Erfurt main station

• Follow the sign: "alle Richtungen" (all directions)
• Then take the A4 – Erfurt-West access and travel in the direction of Frankfurt     
• At the Erfurt junction, turn onto the A71 in the direction of Schweinfurt
• Take the Exit No. 14 Arnstadt-Süd and turn left in the direction of Rudolstadt/Stadtilm
• Follow the L1048 to Stadtilm
• Turn left at the main crossing in Stadtilm onto the B87 in the direction of Bad Berka/Weimar. You will see the factory on the right side after 500 m.
